sukabumiheadline.com – PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) or SMI has officially acquired 25 percent of PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR) shares in PT Trans Jabar Tol (TJT).

PT TJT is a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) that holds the Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road concession located in West Java.

This was marked by the signing of the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) on Thursday (25/01/2024) by the Director of Financing and Investment of PT SMI, Sylvi J. Gani, and the President Director of PT WTR, Daniel Fitzgerald Liman.

With the entry of PT SMI as a shareholder, PT TJT is now owned by PT WTR as much as 74.99 percent, PT SMI 25 percent, and the Waskita Cooperative 0.01 percent.

The entry of PT SMI as a shareholder of PT TJT aims to accelerate the completion of the next construction of the Bocimi Toll Road, namely the 13.7 km long Cibadak-Sukabumi Barat section, construction of which has already begun.

Previously, PT TJT had completed the construction of the Ciawi-Cigombong section and the Cigombong-Cibadak section with a total length of 27.25 km.

The Ciawi-Cigombong section has been operating since 2018, while the Cigombong-Cibadak section started operating without tariffs on August 6 2023.

President Director of PT SMI, Edwin Syahruzad said, this share acquisition shows the commitment of PT SMI and Waskita Group in supporting National Strategic Projects that are beneficial to society.

"We hope that the Bocimi section can improve connectivity, access and save travel time between Bogor and Sukabumi, as well as becoming an alternative route to reduce congestion on arterial roads," he said in a written statement on Monday (29/01/2024).

The strategic partnership between PT SMI and PT WTR can support PT TJT in obtaining funding sources to complete the Bocimi Toll Road project.

The President Director of PT Waskita Karya, Muhammad Hanugroho believes that this strategic partnership will resolve some of Waskita Karya's obligations in its restructuring program.

"God willing, this is an initial journey that will provide blessings not only to SMI and Waskita Karya Group but also to the people who will use the Ciawi Sukabumi toll road to West Sukabumi," he said.

He hopes that in the future there will still be a lot of potential for collaboration and everything can run smoothly and successfully.

"We would like to thank PT SMI for its support and cooperation, and let us pray that in the future we can continue to collaborate to achieve the goal of building Indonesia's infrastructure," he concluded.

Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 Road in Place

The latest information on the construction of the Bocimi Toll Section 3, Cibadak to East Sukabumi is in place.

It is known that the reason for the halt in construction of the Bocimi Toll Road section III was because the location determination (penlok) for the construction of the toll road ended on October 7 2023.

This was stated by the Head of the Land Acquisition and Development Section at the Agrarian Spatial Planning Office - National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Sukabumi Regency, Enang Sutriyadi.

As a result of not having issued the local regulations, BPN Sukabumi Regency was unable to carry out any activities related to the Bocimi Section III toll road project. Because, we are still waiting for guidance from the Governor of West Java.

"BPN only plays a role as executor in land acquisition for the Bocimi toll road project," he explained.

If the local regulations are issued, BPN will immediately move quickly to carry out data corrections, data checks and field inspections. Until now, there are no significant obstacles, just waiting for the block.

“During the last three months, no activities have been carried out regarding Bocimi Toll data and land acquisition. "Payment of compensation money will also not be made before the local regulations are issued," he explained.
